Looking for a chef for a brand new Japanese Izakaya & Bar in the heart of Melbourne. Venue with over 100 seats featuring top class sushi bar and a beautiful alfresco seating; it is located in the main precinct at iconic Melbourne's GPO.
A candidate must have a vast experience and knowledge in directing and managing all operational activities across the venue.
Ongoing opportunities and sound rewards are available to the right candidate who can demonstrate the following.
Key responsibilities:
Manages & operate fast-paced kitchen.
Lead an environment committed to food safety and workplace safety.
Always striving for continuous improvement.
38 full time hours including weekends; Dinner Trading 5:00 -11:00 PM.
What you will need:
Great communication skills and an ability to lead a diverse range of employees.
At least 3+ year experience in similar role.
Izakaya Experience Highly Regarded
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Right to Work; Visa status and visa end date.
Japanese language skill is a plus (Preferred)
